My name is Brad Fortier I am 24 years old. I have been with WDFN since 2003. I started in January 2003 as an intern with Sean Baligian. (Some of you may know me better as Spicoli) In May 2003 I became a part-time producer which I still am today. I am the Network Coordinator for all Pistons games as well as the producer for "The Ottoman Sports Empire" with Rob Otto and Fantasy Sports Geekly with Sean Baligian. As much as I love my sports though, nothing compares to my love of professional wrestling. I have been a wrestling fan virtually my whole life. As a kid my dad got me hooked and I have been ever since. Besides all the Raw's, Nitro's and house shows I've been to here in the D., I have also attended all the Detroit Pay-Per-Views (SummerSlam, 2 Survivor Series', World War 3, etc.) I have also been extremely fortunate enough to attend Wrestlemania 6 in Toronto, WM 15 in Philly, WM 17 in Houston, WM 18 in Toronto, and of course WM 23 at Ford Field. As a kid Hulk Hogan was always my favorite and once he was pretty much gone I became a huge fan of The Rock. I don't really consider myself old school but as far as modern day goes, I am not really sold on the Cena's and Batista's of the world. I still like the older guys such as HBK and Undertaker. 1. Born? 4/24/83 2. Hometown? Lake Orion, MI. 3. Marital Status? Not married! 4. What High School did you attend? Rochester Adams. 5. College? Oakland University. 6. What else do you do at WDFN? Produce shows/Pistons. 7. All-time favorite wrestler? The Rock. 8. Favorite Current Wrestler? Edge. 9. Favorite up-and-coming wrestler? Don’t really have one. 10. Favorite tag team? New Age Outlaws. 11. Favorite Feud? Stone Cold/Vinny Mac. 12. Most hated wrestler? Booker T. 13. Favorite wrestler you've met in person? Rick Martel 14. Favorite wrestling theme music? How can it be anything but “Real American”? 15. Best wrestling show you've attended live? Wrestlemania 6 in Toronto. 16. Favorite moment in wrestling? Hulk Hogan turning heel. 17. What you'd change about wrestling if you could? For one I would make Raw/Smackdown/ECW all one thing. Right now they don’t have enough main eventers to divide them up like that. Also I don’t think a PPV every month is necessary. Perhaps every other month. Finally, for as much as the PPV’s cost, how about a little Diva nudity?
Jonel Jaksa
Jonel's bio:
When I was in college, I majored in journalism and wanted to write about music and popular culture. When I was much younger and still aspiring to be a writer, I wanted to work for a wrestling magazine. I found myself studying for a career in broadcasting with the intent to write for radio or television. I’ve been in radio for 8 years now. Half of them spent here at WDFN. I started watching wrestling in 1984. Roddy Piper attacked Jimmy Snuka on Piper’s Pit and I was hooked. Later that year I discovered the NWA Wrestling from Georgia on TBS and was an instant fan. I also remember watching AWA Wrestling on ESPN weekdays after school. I stopped watching wrestling right around 1991 when I graduated high school. I started watching wrestling again in 1997 when I was flipping channels and thought to myself, “What the hell is Hulk Hogan doing being a bad guy?” I was hooked again. I watched WCW exclusively until its demise in 2001 so I missed the heyday of the WWF Attitude Era. Thank goodness for DVDs. Today I’m a fan of WWE, I love TNA, I enjoy seeing Ring of Honor live and I think everyone should check out a local independent wrestling show and support all the wrestlers who bust their asses for the handful of fans in attendance. 1. Born? November 8, 1973. Detroit, Michigan.
2. Hometown? I currently reside in New Baltimore, Michigan.
3. Marital Status? Happily married to Therese. Not only is she my lovely wife but she’s a hell of a Real Estate Agent. If you’re looking to buy or sell, check out her site at www.theresejaksa.com. It will help put me one step closer to an early retirement.
4. What High School did you attend? Warren High School in Warren, Michigan. 5. College? Macomb Community College. Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts.
6. What else do you do at WDFN? I’m the Production Director. I produce advertiser commercials and I create all those whacky little WDFN commercials. Any commercial you hear talking about hot babes or how bad the Lions suck or some random celebrity in the news is usually my handy work.
7. All-time favorite wrestler? Tie between Sabu and “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. 8. Favorite Current Wrestler? Rob Van Dam. I also really like “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels.
9. Favorite up-and-coming wrestler? Teddy Hart is going to be awesome.
10. Favorite tag team? The Outsiders. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.
11. Favorite Feud? The Four Horsemen vs. Dusty and friends.
12. Most hated wrestler? If I never see Snitsky again it will be too soon. I never liked Lex Luger either.
13. Favorite wrestler you've met in person? Tie between RVD and Chris Benoit.
14. Favorite wrestling theme music? It’s hard to deny the Ultimate Warrior’s theme song or the theme for the Midnight Express, but I’ll go with “The Game” by Motorhead.
15. Best wrestling show you've attended live? Tie between Wrestlemania 23 at Ford Field and the first time I got to see NWA Wrestling live. September 25, 1987 at Joe Louis Arena. The main event saw “Hands of Stone” Ronnie Garvin beat Ric Flair for the NWA Championship in a cage.
16. Favorite moment in wrestling? Tie between Hogan, Hall and Nash returning to WWF as the nWo and Chris Benoit winning the title at Wrestlemania 20.
17. What you'd change about wrestling if you could? Remember: "The name on the marquee still says 'wrestling'".

Monday 06-30-2008 4:21pm ET
If you tuned in to The Wrestling Elite on WDFN this past Sunday then you heard a great interview with "Rocker" Marty Jannetty. But you didn't hear it all! We sat down with Marty for over an hour but had to edit the interview in order for it to make it on air.
Here's the long awaited, much anticipated video of The Wrestling Elite's appearance at Blue Water Championship Wrestling's June 13th show in Port Huron. Deep down we always knew that Clarence Black, Wrestling Elitist and host of WDFN's The Clarence Black Show, was a heel. Enjoy!
JOIN US THIS SUNDAY FOR THE WRESTLING ELITE!
Friday 06-27-2008 2:03pm ET
Tune in this Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 for another magical edition of The Wrestling Elite! We'll talk WWE Draft, Night of Champions, check in with Steve Gerweck from http://www.gerweck.net/, and we'll have an exclusive interview with one half of The Rockers! No, not Shawn Michaels. It's the one and only Marty Jannetty!
God, I hate Vince. What is with this need of his to be “the victim”? Last year he wanted to blow up in a limousine explosion, this year it’s paralysis due to faulty stage construction. Are we all supposed to feel sorry for Mr. McMahon? After the incredible dick his character has been all these years? Maybe wrestling fans that are new to this whole wild world of sports entertainment will be shocked and concerned but to me this is yet another ploy to make Vince the center of the WWE storyline universe. I can see it now: Was the stage sabotaged? What happened to the money that tumbled off the stage when Vince took his perilous dive? Will Vince exact revenge from his motorized wheel chair? Don’t know and don’t care. I’m getting too old and too cynical for this type of desperation. Maybe Vince just needed a way to get out of giving away money every week.
As far as the Draft goes…I’m fine. A lot of the moves in my mock draft came true so I was glad that they shifted things around as much as they did. I’m fine with J.R. moving to Smackdown. I don’t care how boo-boo faced and crotchety he seemed about it on-air, it’s a good move. Anyone casually flipping by Smackdown will recognize that voice and maybe they’ll stick around to hear more. And that’ll only help once they’re on a new network. The only two surprises were Mr. Kennedy going to Smackdown because he’s already been there and done that, and the way ECW got screwed by only receiving one draft pick. I hope there’s a supplemental draft in the works because otherwise it would be a hell of a coincidence that only the bigger names on the three rosters were moved. It’ll be interesting to see how Night of Champions shakes out with all the title holders that were drafted to different shows.
Nice to see Ric Flair come out for the second week in a row. Way to stay retired, Naitch. And how about his appearance Monday?!? They gave him his very own live mic so he could say “Wooo!” on Vince’s command. In other Nature Boy news, Ric will be appearing at the NWA Legends Fanfest in Charlotte, North Carolina this August taking pics and signing autographs for a cool $100 bucks a pop. That’s Flair Country, you know. The marks are probably lining up in their sequined robes with a crisp new hondo in their sweaty little palms as we speak.
In relapse news, recent gossip alleges that Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, The Sandman and Scott Hall have either appeared at recent indy shows in no condition to work, or in Hall’s case, didn’t appear at all. I have no shame in admitting that I’m a major Scott Hall mark and the strides he seemed to have been making led me to believe that he was on his way to at least a minor comeback. Let’s hope this “falling off the wagon” rumor is false. On the lighter side of addict-related news, at least Jake Roberts hasn’t been seen ditching any of his scheduled appearances to go score a teener.
It seems The Ultimate Warrior’s return is going to be even more exciting then previously imagined. There’s supposedly an “Anti-Warrior Group” making threats to crash the event and cause some sort of disturbance and/or harm the former WWF Champion. A mouthpiece for Warrior claimed that this isn’t any sort of publicity stunt on their end. If that’s the case, then who in the world would want to attack The Warrior? Oh, yeah. Maybe it’s the thousands (ok, hundreds (ok, at least 30)) he’s offended with his anti-gay, anti-liberal ravings since he hung up the arm tassels and put away the grease paint.
Also, I know I promised video of WDFN’s own Clarence Black verbally jousting with the hostile crowd at the Blue Water Championship Wrestling show the other week but I haven’t been able to get it uploaded yet. That’s on me. It’ll be up this week for sure so check back soon.
Until next time, this has been Jonel from The One and Only Wrestling Elite. And that…that’s cool.

What up, Wrasslin' Elitists?
I want to start out by saying what an awesome time The WDFN Wrestling Elite had in Port Huron at Blue Water Championship Wrestling last night! Brad Fortier, Clarence Black and myself made the trip out to the B.W.A. Former WWF/AWA “Rocker” Marty Jannetty headlined the show and spoke with us for over an hour about a ton of stuff, including a lot about his relationship with Shawn Michaels. Don’t miss the debut of that interview on Sunday, June 29th when we return to the airwaves of Sports Radio 1130 WDFN.
There’s also a real good chance some video could surface real soon that’ll reveal the hostile crowd reaction our own Clarence Black received upon being introduced to the crowd at the show. It seemed his remarks were unfavorable with the simple crowd in attendance. There was some heat. I think the office might have heat with Clarence too for “going into business for himself”, I think it’s called. More on this to come. And rest assured, The Elite will be back at the next BWCW show. Hit their site for more info http://www.bwcwstars.com/
How horrible were Vince’s giveaway segments? What the hell? Technical problems aside, it took so damn long watching and hearing Vince-dial-one-number-at-a-time! The whole thing looked second rate. I like how they don’t even give the person a chance to respond. He tells them they won and they take the call off the air before someone yells “Cena sucks!” Why even call them? Just read off names of the winners and spare me the game show dramatics.
Is it wrong that I’ve gone from feeling total disgust for Hulk Hogan to feeling sorry for him? And it wasn’t him crying on Larry King’s show that’s swaying me one way or another. I think a lot of people would break down under that kind of scrutiny. Now to make matters worse, they’ve recalled the grill The Huckster was shilling on QVC due to fire hazard. When it rains…
Former Ring Of Honor Champion, Bryan Danielson wrestled a dark match before RAW this past Monday and got the win over Lance Cade. Nice! Bryan Danielson would be a great addition to WWE. But he doesn’t really burn up the mic and we all know that’ll make you or break you.
Sad news from TNA’sSlammiversary PPV. A crew member died after falling off a set of scaffolding while taking down some lighting. Condolences to everyone there.
ECW is soooooo lame. But it was great to see former ROH standout Matt Sydal make his debut as Evan Bourne. Did you see this? http://www.pspfanboy.com/2008/06/13/kid-attempts-to-steal-wrestlers-psp-fails/. LOL! Come on now, Elijah! You've gotta keep those toys where other kids won't be tempted to steal them. And how are you supposed to be a big, bad wrestler when you're playing hand-held video games like an eight grader? No wonder he got jacked. One more on Elijah. Have you seen pics of his new gimmick? He looks like he stepped out of a Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five video.
Finally, Carlito has had it (again) with the way 'The E' is using him. And his mouth's writing check's his butt can't cash. In South America on a WWE promotional tour, Carlito essentially told reporters that Triple H got where he's at by marrying the boss' daughter. What, did he think no one was going to translate comments like that to the McFamily? The word on the net is that Carlito is positive he can walk right into TNA if he were to leave WWE. Carlito, Mae Young could walk into TNA and get a job right now. Be careful you don't get what you wish for or you could end up impersonating The Rock and tagging with Shark Boy on Impact. And when you put it like that, wrestling on the mid-card on RAW with Santino doesn't seem so bad.
